Lakeside Retreat, Miena

Great location, but... Positive: The view is fabulous! The house is large enough for 4 adults to have plenty of space. The kitchen and dining area is big and very functional. Negative: Unfortunately the cleanliness of the house was left wanting. The floors were dirty, the kitchen area needed to be wiped over as it looked like it had been cleaned with a greasy cloth, utensils needed to be rewashed and there were dishes left in the dishwasher and towels left in the dryer. I contacted the property manager to advise of the concerns and was offered a partial cleaning refund which, disappointedly never eventuated.

Fantastic House fantastic views great location - would be wonderful for a large family gathering. Positive: Fabulous location fantastic views of the lake huge house lots of room two fantastic fireplaces in the Open Plan living area. Negative: Driveway could be a little tricky to navigate if you didn’t have a four-wheel-drive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Retreat. Positive: Lakeside position was fantastic. Fireplace was great and prepared firewood for our stay was most appreciated. A most comfortable house with all the comforts of home. Negative: As was suggested, our 2WD proved to be unsafe on the steep gravel driveway so we parked at the top which was a little inconvenient with the weather being so changeable. In our opinion, a 4WD is essential.
