Bull Tavern - Walk To Great Lake Hotel

Great stay in cozy cabin at Miena. Positive: Open plan living area, clean and tidy. Wood heater kept the whole cabin warm.

Bull Tavern Cabin Positive: The space available inside, washing machine. Negative: On this occasion the weather was very cold. Upon arrival I had to start the fire as it was freezing inside. It would have been great if there was a reverse cycle air con or some sort of heating that could have been turned on immediately and used during the night as it was below 0 deg C. Instructions to turning taps on and off was interesting too and a bit confusing. Considering I paid for cleaning, you still asked that I wash up and take the rubbish with me! All this while one day's refund is still being processed but payed for three days of cleaning. Couldn't find the hair dryer.

This was a great experience and is highly recommended. Positive: Fantastic location, well appointed cabin with everything you needed. Very clean. Has a good supply of wood for heater. Lovely and quite and came with bonus snow on our last day! Negative: Nothing. There is no wifi but this is pointed out on website. This was no problem to us and may even be a bonus for some! There were no problems with this booking whatsoever.

Will stay here again. Positive: Walking distance to pub, lucky enough to get snow. Very comfortable, great fire and kitchen facilities. Hosts very responsive and friendly. Able to arrange early checkin and late check out. Negative: No electric blankets or heaters in rooms, didn't bother us as we like the cold, the fire did heat up most of the cabin. They did provide extra blankets and thermal sleeping bags if needed.

Top stay in the snow!! Hosts were very helpful. Blessed with heaps of great memories to take away. Simple but spotless shack.
